ABOUT ME

Me
Me

I am Fr. Herbert Niba, ordained Priest for the Diocese of Buea, Cameroon on 22nd April 2014. I was trained at St. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary, Bambui, and obtained a Bachelor of Philosophy (2008), and Divinity Degree (2014) from the Pontifical Urban University, Rome. I also hold a Master’s in Philosophy from the Catholic University of Central Africa (2010). After my ordination I served as Director of the John Paul II Institute of Theology, Molyko–Buea (2014-2016). Here I oversaw the formation of the laity, and organized pilgrimages and field work at the radio, prison or hospital inspired by the teachings of Pope John Paul II. Since 2016, I am a formator at the St. John Paul II Major Seminary, Bachuo Ntai, Mamfe. Here, I lecture Philosophy, and also coordinate an annual Symposium on Pope John Paul’s writings. The latest (2019) was: “The Body as Gift: Phenomenological Ethics in Karol’s Wojtyla’s Love and Responsibility”.
